- Lately, it's become quite clear that entire Barry Halper Collection should be checked, item by item, for authenticity. I mean, assuming that one cares about such things.
- From Hitting the Cutoff Man, a treatise on minor-league team names (and yes, another project I meant to complete a long time ago but never started).
- I never really bought into the Sammy Sosa story, but at least Dan McGrath admits that the Chicago writers were complicit in making up that story.
- Weird Trivia of the Week: one of the leading candidates to play Geordi LaForge on Star Trek: TNG was Reginald Martinez Jackson. (Meanwhile, LeVar Burton once played Ron LeFlore in a TV movie. Everything's a big circle ...)
