Today's links are subject (like everything else) to the Second Law of Thermodynamics ...

• According to the Daily Dish, at least three teams have (or might have) some interest in acquiring Milton Bradley. One of those teams is Kansas City, and Friend of SweetSpot Rany Jazayerli suggests, reasonably enough, a straight Jose Guillen-for-Bradley swap.

• As Dave Cameron notes, recent history does not favor the quick (to clinch). But what about non-recent history? Is there any reason we should consider only the last seven seasons? (That's not a rhetorical question; I really want to know.)

• Yes, Ian Kinsler's our newest 30/30 man. But as The Newberg Report reports, all's not peaches and blossoms with Kinsler's season.

• Jon Weisman wonders: Can you trust any national baseball writer? Well, maybe not all of them. But how could you not trust this guy?

• You want more triples? All you have to do is teach your guys to run like this!

• Alan Schwarz on the the life of a (usually) minor leaguer. (And yes, if the Cardinals win the World Series, there will be plenty of consolation prizes.)

• Beyond the Boxcore's backtocali poses an interesting -- if not downright shocking -- question.

• Boy, the Cy Young Predictor sure has been predictable lately. With all three American League candidates looking brilliant every time out, whoever's pitched last rises to the top of the list. With Felix Hernandez the only one of the three who's going to start twice more, he's the odds-on favorite to win that battle. I don't think the Predictor's going to work this time, though. Sabathia's going to draw the support of the voters who are obsessed with 20-game winners (if he wins 20), and Greinke's going to draw the support of the voters who think the award should go to the best pitcher in the league. Which will leave Hernandez third, no matter what the Predictor says.
