TAMPA, Fla. -- Despite an 0-7 start, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are performing well at the box office.
The team announced Thursday that the Nov. 11 game with Miami has sold out. That’s a complete sellout, and not just the 85 percent threshold needed to lift the local television blackout. This is the second time this season the Bucs have had a complete sellout. The Philadelphia game sold out. The Bucs have had problems with blackouts in recent years, but ownership has pledged that every game will be televised locally this season.
The Monday night game with Miami also will feature Hall of Famer Warren Sapp being inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor and having his jersey (No. 99) retired.
