Who's going to the Pro Bowl?

The Pro Bowl rosters will be announced Friday. But let’s have a little fun in the meantime.

Let’s take a look at which Tampa Bay Buccaneers might end up in Hawaii. I’m thinking the Bucs have five candidates, so let’s run through them.

Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. Logic says McCoy should get his second straight Pro Bowl berth. He has a career-high nine sacks.

Linebacker Lavonte David. Another candidate with very strong credentials. David isn’t a household name among fans, but he should get plenty of votes from coaches and players around the league.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis. His reputation is stellar and his play in his first season with Tampa Bay has been solid. Revis has a good shot of ending up in the Pro Bowl.

Wide receiver Vincent Jackson. He’s been one of the few bright spots on the offense. Jackson’s numbers are good, but not off the charts and that might keep him out of the Pro Bowl.

Safety Mark Barron. The coaching staff and front office believe Barron has really blossomed in his second season. He’s played very well, but still isn’t well known around the league. He could be a season away from being a strong candidate for the Pro Bowl.
