Morning notes on the Buccaneers

TAMPA, Fla. -- There are several things worth noting this morning.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis said former coach Greg Schiano created a stressful situation and did not listen to his players often enough. I’m pretty certain a lot of players felt the same way, but didn’t want to complain while Schiano still was the head coach. In the coming months, I suspect we’ll hear a lot more players voice their true feelings about how Schiano ran the team.

Speaking of Schiano, he interviewed for the Cleveland Browns' job. Buffalo defensive coordinator Mike Pettine appears to be the favorite to land that job. But I’m a little surprised Schiano even got an interview after the way his tenure went in Tampa Bay. I still think Schiano’s next job will be on the college level.

Finally, the Bucs will hold an introductory news conference for new general manager Jason Licht on Thursday afternoon. I’ll be out at One Buccaneer Place for that and will bring you the highlights of what Licht has to say.
