Bucs ready to start offseason work

April, 4, 2014
The rules of the collective bargaining agreement have prevented new Tampa Bay coach Lovie Smith and his staff from spending any quality time with their players. But that's about to change.

Tampa Bay's offseason program kicks off Monday with conditioning work and will continue through June 12. Per NFL rules, the Bucs get an extra minicamp because they have a new coach. The first minicamp will be held April 22 through 24. The second minicamp will be held June 10 through 12.

A minicamp for rookies only will be held May 16 through 18. The program concludes June 12 and the Bucs will be off until the start of training camp in late July.
