TAMPA, Fla. -- For the second straight season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won’t have any home games blacked out on local television.
That had been a problem in 2011 and ’12. But the Bucs announced Monday that all 2014 home games, including the two preseason games, will be broadcast locally. The Bucs said ticket sales are projected to surpass the NFL’s threshold of 85 percent of general-admission tickets sold.
Like it did last season, the team is saying it will ensure that all home games are broadcast locally. That means the team will buy up tickets if necessary. The Week 16 game against Green Bay already is sold out.
