The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a new director of player personnel with deep ties to general manager Jason Licht.

Jon Robinson has been hired by the Bucs, according to ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss. Robinson and Licht previously worked together with the New England Patriots.

Robinson was with the Patriots since 2002, starting off as an area scout and working his way up to college scouting director in 2009. Eric Stokes, who had been Tampa Bay’s director of college scouting, is headed to Miami. Stokes will work as an assistant to general manager Dennis Hickey, who previously worked in Tampa Bay.

Former Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik isn’t staying out of the public eye for very long.

Dominik is at ESPN headquarters in Connecticut on Monday. He’s scheduled to appear on "NFL Insiders" with Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen at 3:30 p.m. ET. He also will appear on "NFL Live" at 4 p.m.

It remains to be seen what Dominik’s next career path will be, but I’m sure he’ll land on his feet. Dominik is a bright guy with good connections. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him land in Miami, where Dominik’s former right-hand man, Dennis Hickey, now is the general manager.

Dominik also is telegenic and articulate and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get into broadcasting if he doesn’t take a front-office job.
