RTC: Rusty Smith will back up Fitzpatrick

Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…

The Titans won’t miss Jake Locker as long as many feared, and they plan to promote Rusty Smith to backup Ryan Fitzpatrick, says John Glennon of The Tennessean.

The Titans Tuesday workouts this week included four wide receivers, including former Colts receiver Austin Collie, says Glennon.


To which I say: The Titans couldn’t find room for another wide receiver right now. They have to cut a player to make room for Smith.
