NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- In ESPN.com’s survey of 320 players, Peyton Manning was the top reply in this category: If you had to start a team with one player, who would it be?

It’s an area where the Titans are lacking.

They don’t have an outright cornerstone player in a league where all the best teams have one -- or maybe more.

Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and receiver Kendall Wright are the Titans’ best player on each side of the ball. But they don’t rate high enough that they’d be a choice here given the full league to choose from.

Manning got 62 votes, with Andrew Luck second (56), Tom Brady third (41), Aaron Rodgers fourth (40) and Calvin Johnson fifth (37).

In addition to Luck, J.J. Watt got four votes.

Those are two guys the Titans will be dealing with as division foes for years.
