Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…

Don’t worry about the Titans not getting a compensatory draft pick. Their track record with the extra picks is poor, says David Boclair of the Nashville post. Of their last 21, only Eugene Amano emerged as a long-term starter.

Former Titans linebacker Terry Killens is now working as a football official, says Craig Peters of the Titans web site.

Titans CEO and president Tommy Smith issued a statement after the passing of Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson.

Matthew Fairburn of SB Nation has the Titans taking cornerback Jason Verrett of TCU with the 11th pick.

To which I say: Maybe they take a cornerback. But this idea that they are in need of a cornerback to replace Alterraun Verner ignores their draft work in recent years. That puts them in position for Coty Sensabaugh or Blidi Wreh-Wilson to step in for Verner just the way Verner stepped in for Cortland Finnegan.
