RTC: Shawn Jefferson amping up

Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans...

Shawn Jefferson will amp it up in his second year as the Titans' receivers coach, not tone it down, writes Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. "When a new coach comes in and keeps you on the staff, it is kind of a confirmation that you've been doing things right," Jefferson said. "I'm glad to be back, but the culture has definitely changed around here. It is a very competitive culture -- everybody is being held accountable. Everybody is about team first, period. And if you don't put team first you won't be around here."

Ken Whisenhunt could put Jake Locker in the shotgun more often, says John Glennon of The Tennessean.

The competition for the return job is healthy for everyone, says Leon Washington, per David Boclair of the Nashville Post.

To which I say: Washington is the best guy to handle things if the Titans don’t want to risk Dexter McCluster or just use him in special spots.

DaQuan Jones and Avery Williamson are among the under-the-radar draft picks scouts are talking up, says Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report.
