RTC: Could Nashville host a Super Bowl?
By Paul Kuharsky
Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans ...
Defensive end Kamerion Wimbley hopes his future is with the Titans, says Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean
To which I say: Yes, he’ll be better suited to play as an outside backer in the new front. But the fact is he hasn't been that good and he’s not worth his scheduled $6 million no matter what scheme the Titans are playing.
Could Nashville host a Super Bowl if it put together a bid and the owners decided to waive the weather requirements? John Glennon of The Tennessean examines the idea.
To which I say: It seems highly unlikely. As Glennon says, new stadiums are the big draw. I also don't think downtown Nashville is big enough to handle the sort of crowd a Super Bowl brings for a week.
