Not Tiger-like in any way

Tiger Woods admitted to hurting his elbow at THE PLAYERS Championship in May.

He's played two events since -- the Memorial and U.S. Open -- and he fared as poorly as he's ever fared.

Consider the following four facts:

1-- It’s been 16 years since Tiger last shot 5-over par or worse in back-to-back tournaments. Coincidentally, those also occurred at the Memorial and U.S. Open back in 1997.

2-- He is a combined 21 over par at his last two tournaments. That is his worst cumulative score-to-par in back-to-back tournaments as a professional. His previous “worst” came in 2010 when he shot 18-over at the WGC-Bridgestone followed by 2-under at the PGA Championship.

3-- Tiger made bogey or worse on 21 holes at the U.S. Open. That is the most holes he has ever played over par at a major as a professional and his 2nd-most ever in any PGA TOUR event.

4-- This weekend marked the 279th time Tiger Woods has played the 3rd and 4th round as a professional. Woods was 10-over.

That's the second-worst weekend score-to-par over that span. It comes off the Memorial in which he was 7-over on the weekend.

So in essence two of the worst six weekend performances of his professional career have come in his last two events.
