Heat guard Dwyane Wade will not play in Friday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to what the team is calling a cold. Wade did not participate in the Heat's shootaround Friday morning. The Heat announced Mike Miller will start in Wade's place. Ray Allen will come off the bench as usual.
This is the first game Wade has missed this season. The Heat are 4-1 on the season, and Friday night's game begins a road trip that calls for six games in nine days. The Heat play the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
