One anonymous NBA player says LeBron James usually refrains from talking trash and he should probably keep it that way.

In a column for ESPN the Magazine, an anonymous NBA player, "Player X," enlightens us about the art of trash talking. Apparently, the quality of trash talk is directly correlated with the number of rings a player has on his finger. In case you didn't know, LeBron James and Chris Bosh don't have any rings.
The things that make all of these guys good talkers -- passion, a mean streak -- are what also make them great basketball players. Not surprisingly, some of the quietest guys happen to be ringless. Chris Bosh, for one, never says a word. LeBron? Even when he does talk, he's terrible at it.

Want to get to "The King" and some other prime-time players? Here's one man's go-to material: Drop a "you're riding coattails" on LeBron or remind him he bailed on the Cavs to buy a ring.

If you ask LeBron's former teammate Daniel Gibson, LeBron took the trash talking too far in his return to Cleveland on Dec. 2. Although if actions speak louder than words, then Gibson should take offense to LeBron's 38 points in that game.

There's nothing quite like trash talking anonymously in a national publication about others' trash talking abilities.

Check out the rest of the article at Insider and find out Player X's take on Kevin Garnett, Ron Artest and why he thinks international players have softened the league's on-court discourse.

John Wall and Ryan Hollins may have a different theory when it comes to Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
