After all that worry this summer, Rajon Rondo and the Boston Celtics are reportedly close to a new contract.
To celebrate, Rondo's corporate sponsor Red Bull says they are sending him to the World Series tonight.
Rondo's Celtics will be playing the Sixers on Tuesday -- so the schedule is perfect. I'd have to imagine just about every Celtic and Sixer will be trying to get tickets to Game 5 -- it'll be interesting to see who besides Rondo gets in. Red Bull does not sponsor the Series and declined to specify how they managed to get the tickets. The Phillies' Jimmy Rollins is also sponsored by the caffeine-and-sugar drink, which is part of what inspired the firm to fork over the tickets.
