Raymond Felton Pipes up for Seat Belts

Felton was vacationing in South Carolina and was in a minor car accident that likely was not his fault. (He was a passenger in a stationary car. A lot of NBA players are dangerous drivers, but I'm willing to let Felton off the hook on this one.)

The bad part is that he was hurt. The Associated Press describes it this way:

A team spokesman said Felton was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Sunday when he was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. He suffered whiplash and complained of soreness in his back. The driver of the second car was charged with drunken driving, the Bobcats said in a statement.

The Myrtle Beach Police records department said accident reports for Sunday wouldn't be available until Tuesday. A department spokesman didn't immediately return a phone message from The Associated Press.

"My friends and I are blessed to escape this accident with only minor injuries, and thankfully I was wearing my seat belt," Felton said in a statement.
