It's hard to root against the Kikster, but from what I have heard, his departure, announced today, is not without merit. He made three international picks who didn't stick. Instead the Nuggets might have had, say, Amare Stoudemire, Udonis Haslem, and Mo Williams. The Andre Miller dollars might have gone to Gilbert Arenas. The list goes on from there... Of course hindsight is 20/20, and no one knew for certain those moves would have been smart at the time. That doesn't prove he's a bad GM, but it does prove he's not the next Jerry West. Who's next in line? I don't know, but I wouldn't bet against Mark Warkentein, who used to write some really sharp articles sizing up the draft.
