Phoenix Suns assistant coach Dan Majerle is the latest candidate to be targeted in the Philadelphia 76ers' coaching search, according to NBA coaching sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Sixers, after receiving permission from the Suns to speak with Majerle, are sending a delegation to meet him in Phoenix on Monday after Game 4 in the Suns-Spurs series.

The Sixers also have an interview scheduled Monday with Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach Monty Williams.

Williams and Majerle will become the third and fourth candidates to receive formal interviews after the Sixers met recently with TNT's Doug Collins and ESPN's Avery Johnson.

Although ESPN's Mark Jackson withdrew from consideration earlier this week, Philadelphia is expected to interview several additional candidates before closing in on a hire next month.

Veteran coaches that could draw consideration along with Johnson and Collins include ESPN's Byron Scott and Sam Mitchell.

The list of assistant coaches believed to be under consideration beyond Williams and Majerle includes San Antonio's Mike Budenholzer, Dallas' Dwane Casey and Boston's Tom Thibodeau.

Casey and Thibodeau interviewed with the Sixers last year before the job went to Eddie Jordan, who was fired April 15 after posting a 27-55 record.
