Important reminder: Celtics center Kendrick Perkins will still be only one technical foul away from a one-game suspension when the NBA Finals commence Thursday night.

He’s also not alone when it comes to Celtics facing potential technical difficulties in the Finals.

Perkins has racked up a league-leading six techs in the postseason, even after one of his two Ts from Game 5 in the Eastern Conference finals was rescinded by the league office. One-game suspensions are issued when players reach seven Ts and with every other technical past No. 7 (Nos. 9, 11, 13, etc.).

But Boston’s Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace aren’t far away from the danger zone, tied with Orlando’s Matt Barnes for second place with four playoff Ts each.

Kobe Bryant leads all Lakers with three playoff Ts, which ties him with Boston’s Rajon Rondo in fifth.

The NBA assesses a $1,000 fine for a player’s first two technical fouls in the playoffs. The fine rises to $1,500 for the third and fourth technicals and $2,000 for the fifth and sixth Ts. Starting with technical No. 7, $2,500 is the accompanying fine.
