Ohio State's Evan Turner, who worked out only for Philadelphia, said he is extremely confident he will be selected No. 2 by the Sixers. He told ESPN that he would fit in quite well with Jrue Holiday and Andre Iguodala.
He also said that he is looking forward to learning from coach Doug Collins, who can teach him how to play off the ball and who has coached stars like Michael Jordan in Chicago.
According to a source close to Collins, the Sixers love the potential of having Turner team with Holiday and Iguodala because of their abilities to defend, make plays and use the pick-and-roll. The source also said that after Philly interviewed both Turner and Georgia Tech's Derrick Favors that it wasn’t close in terms of who was the more professional of the two. The source said Collins compares Turner to Grant Hill.
The Sixers don’t expect to make a deal on draft night, according to the source, after dealing Samuel Dalembert to the Kings for Andres Nocioni ad Spencer Hawes.
