The MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference will be in Boston March 4 and 5 this year (and they're boasting speakers like Malcolm Gladwell, Mark Cuban, Bill Simmons and Jeff Van Gundy).

But the deadline to submit papers to the conference is in the next few days. Students, industry professionals, academics and others are invited, but the first deadline is soon.

"The conference seeks submissions that report research pertaining to the use of analytics in the sports industry," they explain. "We are open to contributions ranging from evaluating players and game strategies, to examining the success factors for sports business."

Guidelines and deadlines for paper submissions are here.
