Darius Miles Has Surprise Microfracture Surgery--Out for the Season

Reportedly doctors went in expecting to do a routine arthroscopic cleanout, but ended up finding something unholy and completing season-ending knee surgery on Mr. Miles.

(They must have suspected something, otherwise why have the routine surgery done in one of the few places in where they're qualified to do the rare microfracture procedure?)

Guess this explains why his summer rehabilitation didn't go so well.

I know there will also be some saying the Blazers will be better off not rocking the chemistry boat this season.

At least Miles has an up-close example, Zach Randolph, of someone who has successfully come back from the toughest knee surgery ever made. But still, I have my worries. Miles is going to have to re-invent his game to be effective without athleticism.
