- Pete Vecsey says Chris Webber will be bought out and could end up with the Knicks. Similarly, he says Steve Francis could be bought out and end up with the 76ers. Weird! He also says that Nate Robinson was quietly suspended for a game last year. His offense: shooting spitballs on the team plane.
- Sonics Coach Bob Hill on Steve Nash, as reported by Percy Allen: "I was up early this morning watching tape and I watched him play three games. They're talking about him winning the MVP award three years in a row and after watching those games, I agree. He's unbelievable. He's just unbelievable. If I lived here, I'd be at every practice and every game watching him play."
