Thanks to Ben for the heads up.

Here's the report.

UPDATE:  My knee-jerk analysis: This is a big opportunity for Steve Blake. He could be running a really big show here if he plays his cards right. (He could also become a bit player in a sad vortex of ego and off court drama, but let's not be negative.) I'm optimistic for this team and I'm rooting for Blake to blossom.

And for what it's worth, the second Allen Iverson was traded to Denver, I said there would be a need for a real point guard, and more than one insider told me to not only expect such a deal, but to expect Boykins specifically to be on the move, because no team can afford to have the league's two smallest shooting guards.

Also, I just took the mistaken "s" off Hodge in the headline, while adding a fascinating tidbit from "fidgety" in the first comment on this post:

"...there is a certain amount of irony in Hodge being the return player/throw in in a deal involving Blake. Back in their ACC days, Hodge was suspended one game for knocking Blake upside the head in a game at Cole Field House between Blake's Maryland Terrapins and Hodge's NCState Wolfpack in February 2002."
