They're always so persnickety and sober, those box scores, aren't they? No room for fun in putting those together every night.

Well, almost no room for fun. Turns out that once in a blue moon there is a way to poke a little fun at aging forward.

Look quickly, because I have a feeling this won't last forever. Robert Horry's stat line in this online box score from the San Antonio at Golden State game is listed as "DNP -- Old Age!" (Screen shot of the same thing.)

UPDATE: Turns out that, in addition to old age, Horry was out with an abdominal contusion. Johnny Ludden of the San Antonio Express-News reports:

Horry took a charge from Wilcox with 4:08 left in the first quarter of the Spurs' victory over Seattle. Wilcox leaped to try to dunk over Horry, and his knee appeared to jam into Horry's gut.

The force of the collision left both players sprawled on the floor. Wilcox also was shaken up and briefly left the game.

Horry continued to play for a couple more minutes before coming out. He initially thought he had been hit in the groin before the Spurs' training staff examined him. He didn't return to the game.

"That'll teach him," Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. "He'll probably never take (another charge) the rest of his life."
