Last week a guy organized to propose to his girlfriend on the court of the Toyota Center, during timeout of a Rockets/Kings game.
Everyone cheered him, the mascot was involved, the whole deal.
She said no, and bolted from the scene looking stressed.
Of course the entire thing is on video.
I can't tell if it was a prank, or something real. Seems to me that most arena pranks don't end with the mascot getting the protagonist a beer.
One of the TV commentators says "he'll get over that, in ten, twelve years or so."
UPDATE: Word is that this was a hoax, put on by the mascot.
