In the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Ronald Tillery sheds some light on the largest trade in NBA history: the Grizzlies didn't want James Posey, Jason Williams, or Bonzi Wells anymore because of their terrible attitudes. Reportedly former coach Hubie Brown and current coach Mike Fratello were immensely frustrated with the trio. Brown is said to have wanted all three suspended or traded.
Now the team is saying "good luck" to Jason Williams and his former teammates.
"I had a long talk with him," Griz president Jerry West said. "I told him he needed to learn how to be more professional. He's going to play on a great team. But discipline is very important to Pat Riley. I wished Jason well."
