Team USA improves to 16-1 in Olympic openers, beating France by 27 points, 98-71. The United States now is 5-0 against the French in Olympic competition, winning those games by an average of 30.2 points.

The only team to beat Team USA in an Olympic opener is Puerto Rico in 2004.

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 22 points, as all 12 players scored for the Americans. (In fact, Andre Iguodala was the only player who did not make a field goal for USA.)

Thirteen of Durant's points came in transition. The United States outscored France in transition, 25-6.

France's starting five combined to go 0-for-10 behind the 3-point line. For the game, the French missed 20 of 22 3-pointers -- including 1-for-17 on catch-and-shoot threes.
