- A graph of NBA Finals ratings through the years.
- Nick Young, humbled.
- Kobe Bryant, comedian.
- Matt from Hardwood Paroxysm: "Why in the name of everything holy is Doc starting Perkins tonight? He was ineffective before, and now he has a bum shoulder." My thoughts: If you change your lineup now, and lose, you're a chicken. And he has been good for much of the season. You have to go with the bigger sample size. It's also worth considering Kobe Bryant's quote from earlier in the week: "You run into Perkins and Pau in an alley, you're probably going to go Pau's direction." UPDATE: Doc Rivers says Kendrick Perkins will not play. He is coy about who will replace him -- Leon Powe or P.J. Brown. Rivers says Perkins would likely be doubtful if this gets to Game 6.
- On his lively blog, Eric Musselman says that the Lakers need to be ready to play small ball if Perkins ends up sitting for long chunks.
- Phil Jackson just said, of coming back from 3-1 down: "We're young enough, and dumb enough, to be able to do this."
