This was weeks ago, but I just noticed it. The leader of the free world just visited a site of PeacePlayers International, one of my favorite organizations anywhere. I have blogged about the program a dozen or more times (click around the "basketball does good" category), after learning about it from a 2006 Chad Ford story.
Fantastic for them to get this seal of approval. Can't imagine this is the kind of thing that hurts fundraising.
The story linked to above also notes that President Bush handled the rock a bit at the event, and ended up 0-4 in an informal shootaround.
