Dime magazine caught up with rookies like Jarrett Jack (who sounds a little skeptical about Portland), Gerald Green, and Louis Williams. Practically all of them say they already have or will soon have BMW 7 series cars--which reflects a new trend. Used to be they all had Escalades. (I'm all for it though. Those BMWs are much better for the environment.)

Sounds like Toronto's Charlie Villanueva is already getting an A in NBA paryting 101:
Dime: How does a guy go from NYC to living in Canada?
Charlie Villanueva: You know what? Toronto is a beautiful city. I was just up there recently for Steve Nash's charity game and I was able to stay for Carabana Weekend, which if you don't know, is just a huge festival with all kinds of people. It was beautiful. There were people from all over the world.

Dime: Girls?
CV: (laughs) Oh man, there were lots of girls. Lots and lots of girls.

Dime: What type of girl are you attracted to?
CV: I like girls who are respectful and smart. The body is just a bonus.

Dime: Have you bought yourself anything with your NBA money?
CV: A black on black BMW 750 and a nice "CV" chain with a basketball that spins.

Dime: Did you see any good shows this summer?
CV: I was lucky enough to catch the Anger Management Tour this summer with 50 (Cent) and Eminem. It was in Minnesota when we were out there for summer league.

Dime: How was it?
CV: It was a good show. Let me tell you though, the after party was even better.

There's also a great little exchange with Chris Paul, where he says that bowling is "his game." He mentions that he recently had a personal best score of 160. I consider myself a lousy bowler, I've done it about ten times in my life, but in an eighth grade PE class we headed to the local bowl-o-rama and I scored a 168. It wasn't even the best in the class. Hope basketball is more "his game."
