- There is an Israeli track called "Popovich" by an Israeli rap duo named Arik Henig and X, and the Spurs head coach has made good use of the video. From Dan McCarney of the San Antonio Express-News relays the story from Stephen Jackson and other Spurs: "'He was showing some film of me messing up, getting on me real hard. I was like, "You know what Pop, I don’t even want to play basketball. I’d rather do this. Kick it!" And they played two of my videos. And Pop was like, "You know what? Don’t worry about it Jack. I got my own video. It was pretty cool.' Boris Diaw deemed the stunt “hilarious” while noted music aficionado Matt Bonner also gave his seal of approval."
- True story from SLAM's Tzvi Twersky: "A little less than two years ago, after he decided to leave Georgia Tech and enter the NBA Draft, Iman Shumpert was deciding on what agent to hire. After a couple of pitches from different agencies, it was Happy Walters’ turn. The meeting went well, and Shumpert went off on his own to think about it. Eventually, at some point during this time of contemplation, he decided to go with Walters. Instead of calling him to deliver the news, Shumpert, a lover of music, recorded a track called “Power Moves” where he talked about the decision, and sent it to to Walters. Thus the relationship was consummated."
