- The Rockets have reportedly matched the Bobcats' offer for Carl Landry. It's a reasonable price for Landry, but much more than he would be earning if the Rockets had offered Landry a multi-year rookie deal, like most teams do. Landry has just become yet another textbook case in why it is often better to be drafted in the second round. No, you don't get guaranteed money. But you have the chance to get to that second contract much sooner.
- Pierre Pierce, the former Iowa star who has spent time in prison, has been cleared to play in France.
