- TrueHoop reader Demetri points out that all kinds of incredible things happen against the Raptors, who are playing the Cavaliers tonight: "LeBron James scores his career high of 56 points against the Toronto Raptors in a losing effort in Toronto. LeBron James breaks the Cavs all-time fourth quarter scoring record with 24 points in a winning effort against Chris Bosh (and his girlfriend). LeBron James makes a layup to get his 10,391th point in a winning effort. Zydrunas Ilgauskas will probably set the all-time rebounding record against the Raptors tonight (he needs four to pass Brad Daugherty's 5,227) LeBron James needs one steal to beat Mark Price's career 860, which I'm guessing he will do against the Raptors tonight. And, of course, Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against the Raptors."
- The perfect t-shirt to make Cleveland angry.
- A little chart of a team's winning percentage compared to the actual age of the players who play. Portlanders will love this (and indeed created it -- it's a chart from BlazersEdge). It's tougher news for Phoenix, San Antonio, and Dallas.
- George Hill has been a great draft pick for the San Antonio Spurs. So good, in fact, that Gregg Popovich now feels comfortable admitting that the Spurs brass were second-guessing themselves after his poor shot selection in summer league.
- Peachtree Hoops: "Just think how good the Hawks offense (6th in the league) could be if Flip Murray (43.6 eFG%) didn't shoot 60% more often than Al Horford (53.3 eFG%)."
