It was in Houston last night and by all reports it went well. The players spent quite a lot of time with hurricane victims, which is good to hear. The quote of the night was from Kevin Garnett, as recorded in Michael Murphy's write-up in the Houston Chronicle:
"Just the fact that I was able to bring a smile to so many gloomy faces was (unimaginable) to me," Garnett said. "This is my 11th year, and I've never actually gripped the fact that we as players impact so many people."
Kenny Smith, who deserves mad praise for organizing the game, heaped the credit on himself by saying "this was the most important basketball game that's ever been played. Ever."
