Free-agent forward Lance Thomas has re-signed with the New Orleans Pelicans, his agent John Spencer confirmed with ESPN.com.
The contract is for two years at the minimum salary, with the first year partially guaranteed and a team option on the second year.
This marks Thomas' third go-around with the Pelicans. He was waived by the team in December 2011, and then again this past July. Last season, the 25-year-old played in 59 games and averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds in almost 11 minutes per game.
"The first year was a lockout year," Spencer said. "Things moved a little different then and they knew they were going to bring him back. He has built such a good relationship with the team; it's hard to get rid of him."
The Pelicans currently have two roster spots remaining for the 2013-14 season. A player source confirmed that in the past two days, the team has worked out free agents Reyshawn Terry, Josh Powell and Josh Childress, and that new Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans has participated in the workouts.
