The NBA's Las Vegas Summer League heads into its final weekend. David Thorpe is still at it, livetweeting away his best basketball insights.

You can pay to watch online here. You can follow Thorpe's Twitter feed here, and read his commentary from the Orlando Pro Summer League here. You can read Kevin Arnovitz's mid-week Summer League awards here. And here is a schedule of the many games taking place this week.

Today, Thorpe begins his coverage with the tail end of the Cavs vs. Pistons game, approximately 5:45 p.m. ET

  • Getting on a plane home. Hope the live tweeting was well received. Send suggestions and we'll do better next time. Thanks everyone.
  • Suns beat the D-leaguers. Finally! And that ends my tweet week. Thanks to everyone for following.
  • It's going to be very hard to keep Earl Clark off the floor. He just does so many things.
  • The D league select team here is undefeated. A sign that being a collective underdog is a chemistry builder. Plus the difference between most of the young NBA players and the D-league is incredibly small.
  • The young PGs see just one side of the floor when using a ballscreen. The good vets see all 9 other guys on the floor.
  • Lawson, like a few other guys, will be much better when surrounded by pros. He's going to be dynamic off that bench. And his shooters will love him.
  • I'm at the other game, but a very smart friend of mine just nailed me for missing Lawson's 15 pts in 15 mins so far. 6-for-8 FG.
  • Lopez and Clark competing hard.
  • Blake Griffin's shot looks better than his brothers.
  • Heading to see the Suns in the big gym.
  • People tell me that Bayless is selfish. Maybe so, but I like him.
  • Lawson vs Bayless.
  • I like Pendergraph's motor.
  • Bayless loves to pound the rock. But he's effective with it.
  • Blazers-Nugs. Pendergraph with a sweet vertical dunk right off the bat.
  • Blatche on fire! Now 2-12.
  • Pecherov for 3!! Love that guy.
  • Blatche is bored. His 0-for-8 showing is a sign of that. Why is he here again?
  • Flynn is like a tailback hitting the hole. Explodes through and gets low in the process.
  • It's fair to start worrying about J Crittenton.
  • Henderson 1-for-8. The idea of sharing players fell flat.
  • Back in Wolves-Wizards. Flynn has 16 on 6 shots.
  • Tyrell Biggs gets his first summer run, and promptly nets two contested buckets. He's much better than he looked at Pitt.
  • BJ Mullens us a project, yes. But he has considerable upside.
  • James Johnson just made a sweet no look pass for a bucket. He is a skilled dude.
  • Changing gyms. Bulls Thunder.
  • Nick Young is too good for this league. I hope he carries this confidence to the winter.
  • Ellington with 2 quick 3's. He's moving well too. He's a rangy athlete more than a quick one.
  • Wizards-Wolves.
  • Jordan Hill is going to look much better when surrounded by better players. Trust me. The spacing and passing will help him a great deal.
  • Casspi has clearly struggled on offense this week, but I know one thing that should make Kings fans smile. He just wrestled a rebound (his 7th in 17 mins) from Brockman. Something no one has done this week. Same team perhaps, but that's ok.
  • Take this however you want: George Hill has improved dramatically in one year. And Donte Greene has devolved just as dramatically.
  • Douglas has had an amazing floor game this week, but just can not make buckets. And he's had double the amount of turnovers in this half (4) than he had in the first 2 games. 5-25.
  • I think I just discovered someone that Robert Swift can beat in a race. He plays for the Kings summer league team. But you guys have to figure it out. And one clue-he was an excellent college player and a terrific student. Averaged a huge double double.
  • Morris Almond had a very athletic move and finish. He needs a lot more of those.
  • Donte Greene, with the most flagrant goal tend of the summer. Not in a good way.
  • Thompson just does not have the lift he used to.
  • Douglas just found out that Evans is far longer than the average pg. Got his shot blocked, though he seemed wide open.
  • Casspi with his best play of the week, on the 1st possession of the game. Athletic offensive rebound with a left hand putback in traffic.
  • Kings-Knicks.
  • Jerebko has been solid too, 17 and 5 on 8 shots.
  • Pistons beating Cavs late.
  • Daye doing his thing again. He's a willing rebounder despite his thin frame.
