Trade talk heating up after Melo deal
By Chad Ford
Carmelo Anthony has opened the floodgates for the 2011 NBA trade deadline.
After the Nuggets and Knicks agreed to the 12-player deal headlined by Anthony on Monday, numerous NBA GMs around the league reported a significant increase in trade-related calls.
"I think everyone was waiting to see what Denver did," one GM said. "Now that they've played their hand, my phone has been ringing nonstop. I was worried there wouldn't be much activity because of the lockout. But it sounds like there are a lot of deals to be had."
