TrueHoop TV: Selling geekery to big shots

The 2013 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference focused on the theme that the biggest challenge in geekery is not coming up with more and better research, but in convincing powerbrokers to change their ways.
So we decided to try it.
U.C. San Diego economist Matt Goldman and Microsoft's Justin Rao have research showing that teams holding slender leads late in games should be bolder about shooting 3s. Blazers general manager Neil Olshey agreed to hear a pitch, based on that paper, from Goldman.
