ASHBURN, Va. -- Hard to believe, but the Washington Redskins' statistics against the San Francisco 49ers just got a little worse. The 49ers picked up two more sacks, and Robert Griffin III lost nine passing yards.

The 49ers were awarded sacks on two plays in which Griffin scrambled for minus yardage, courtesy of the NFL's official statistical provider Elias. Griffin is listed on NFL.com as now having been sacked six times in the 27-6 loss to the 49ers. Both sacks were awarded to defensive end Justin Smith. The first change stemmed from a play with 41 seconds left in the first half. Griffin ran up the middle and was tackled for a one-yard loss, though he fumbled the ball and it was recovered by receiver Pierre Garcon for an official gain of no yards.

In the third quarter, Griffin again scrambled and was tackled by Smith for minus-two yards. It was not listed as a sack until Elias made the change.

Also, Griffin lost nine passing yards when a second-quarter throw to receiver Josh Morgan was ruled a lateral. That means Griffin officially completed 16-of-26 passes for 118 yards. Morgan went from five catches for 45 yards to four for 36, but had one carry for nine yards.
