UMass takes lead into halftime

After the Minutemen defense forced an interception in its own end zone, QB Blake Frohnapfel capped a five-play 80-yard drive with a 14-yard TD run. Buffalo trails 28-17 at halftime.


UMass gamble pays off

The Mintuemen went for it on fourth down, and RB Marquis Young pounded it in for a 1-yard touchdown. Buffalo trails 21-17 late in the second quarter.

I think it sounds like itd be unlikely that he would play through any of our road games, and I dont what that timeline makes it. I'd still say that it could very well be a long shot when we get back from those home games -- Chicago, Golden State, and that game against Charlotte right after that. We could be talking quite a few more games for sure. But theres no precise timeline on it."
