BOSTON Teams

Mike Reiss ESPN New England Patriots reporter

The Patriots have an opening for an offensive line coach, and they have been in discussions with longtime assistant Dante Scarnecchia about coming out of retirement to fill the void. While Scarnecchia retired after the 2013 season, he has remained around the team, primarily helping with evaluations of college offensive linemen entering the NFL. Scarnecchia's willingness to discuss a return to the coaching staff in 2016 is an indication that his retirement from coaching might be short-lived, as it would be a surprise at this point if he isn't back on the Patriots sideline for next season.

First round 2016 NFL draft order

The conclusion of Super Bowl 50 means we have an official order for the 2016 NFL draft. Check out the first round.

Stats & Info

Denver continues to dominate

Super Bowl 50 was the Broncos' third title in the past 25 seasons. Only the Patriots have captured more Lombardi Trophies during that stretch.

Mike Sando ESPN Senior Writer

The Panthers do a great job limiting Cam Newton's pure pass drop-backs, but that is much harder to do when trailing by nine points in a fourth quarter. Look what happened to Tom Brady when New England went heavy with five-man protections and pure drop-backs. Brady got smashed. These third-and-longs for Carolina are rough.

Heather Burns ESPN.com

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got a mix of cheers and boos when he was introduced with Super Bowl MVPs.

Stats & Info

Favre's record, but not for long

Newly minted Hall-of-Famer Brett Favre's record for career regular-season wins doesn't appear likely to stand the test of time. Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, if he returns for another season, is poised to break the mark in the near future.

He was transported to Maine Medical Center and was diagnosed with a fractured larynx. He stayed overnight at Maine Medical Center and was transported to Mass General Hospital on Sunday for further evaluation. He is in stable condition and will be sidelined indefinitely. The team will provide additional details when they become available."

Chris Forsberg ESPN Staff Writer

Isaiah Thomas on blocking DeMarcus Cousins at the rim: "I did it a couple of times in practice. You can put that on paper. Nah, we were joking around and, when I blocked it, it was good. We always joke around in the game and I was able to talk a little trash to him." Cousins joked with Thomas outside the locker room post game that it was a goaltend.
