Expect Price to turn things around

David Price has looked much better in his last three starts, but his 5.34 ERA on the season is still unsightly. Bad luck has had a lot to do with that, so Baseball Info Solutions doesn't think the Red Sox have much to be concerned about. Pitchers who will rebound (Insider)

Stats & Info

One streak ends, another continues

Red Sox fans were surely disappointed to see Jackie Bradley Jr.'s 29-game hitting streak end Thursday, but now they can turn their attention to Xander Bogaerts, who has quietly put together a 19-game streak of his own.

Clay Buchholz may be running out of time

Buchholz once again struggled, giving up six runs and three home runs in an 8-2 loss to the Rockies. He has allowed fewer than four runs just twice in 10 starts. The Red Sox have to be thinking about an alternative in their rotation. Five things we learned Thursday

Jerry Crasnick ESPN Senior Writer

I've seen some people in Boston saying John Farrell messed up Jackie Bradley Jr.'s hitting streak by moving him to leadoff for a night. That's ludicrous. Bradley crushed two fly balls that were caught at the fence. He also came very close to getting a fifth at-bat in the 9th precisely because he was batting leadoff. Jon Gray and some bad luck ended Bradley's streak; not John Farrell.
