Red Sox fall apart against cellar-dwelling Twins

Heath Hembree optioned to Pawtucket

The right-hander allowed a run on three hits on Saturday and hasn't pitched a clean inning in his last five outings. "He's not a confident pitcher right now," manager John Farrell said. A replacement for Hembree wasn't announced, but RHP Joe Kelly "is definitely in play," per Farrell.

With Saturday's signings, the Celtics are headed back over the salary cap. Access to the $5.6 million mid-level could allow the team to either inflate the contract of second-round picks like Demertius Jackson or target in-season help.

The Boston Celtics made a flurry of moves Saturday, including agreeing to deals with Gerald Green and Tyler Zeller. What it seems to suggest is that Boston is willing to head into next season with the roster it has constructed. The Celtics still have the flexibility and assets to explore trade opportunities, but also bolstered their depth assuming no deals materialize.
