EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Patriots receiver Randy Moss was held to four catches for 24 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets, which was a disappointing follow-up to his 12-catch season-opener.

"I think the frustration sets in when we know we stuck our own selves in the foot," Moss said after the loss. "With the firepower that we got, it is a little frustrating. I'm not going to sit here and lie. At the same time, when things go bad, you have to find ways to win. Toward the end of the game, we kept going backwards as a whole offensive unit. We just didn't make things happen."

Moss was matched up against cornerback Darrelle Revis, who also had success against dangerous Texans receiver Andre Johnson in Week 1.

When asked if Revis was one of the toughest corners he's gone up against, Moss said: "No. All week, he was talking that he was a shutdown corner, but there are no shutdown corners in the league because they have help for most of the game. I could probably play corner if I had [Brandon] Meriweather over the top for the whole game. You have to give credit where it is due. I'm not taking anything away from him. Their whole defense made plays. We didn't get things done."

Summing up the performance, Moss said, "There is nothing to beat around the bush. They beat us up and we didn't make enough plays."

Revis discussed his matchup against Moss in the Jets' locker room.

"I just tried to be physical with him on the line," Revis explained. "You can't let him get vertical. He will tear you apart if you don't put hands on him. I [also] used a bit of a finesse game with him at the line to just try to mess with him with a fake jam, then [ral] jam. You can't just give credit to me. It was the entire defense."
