Dennis Seidenberg has knee surgery

Boston Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg underwent surgery Tuesday morning to repair a torn MCL and ACL in his right knee.

Team physician Dr. Peter Asnis performed the surgery. Seidenberg's rehab is expected to take six to eight months, and he's hoping to be ready for the start of the 2014-15 season.

Seidenberg suffered the injury late in the third period of Boston's 5-0 home victory against the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 27. He was tangled up behind the Bruins' net with the Senators' ...
