Fan injured in elevator shaft fall

BOSTON -- A 22-year-old woman plunged two floors in a Fenway Park elevator shaft onto the roof of an elevator car, where a Boston emergency rescue squad found her unconscious, officials said Saturday.

The woman, a recent college graduate, was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Red Sox released a statement Saturday afternoon saying the woman remained at the hospital and was being treated for serious injuries.
