Yzerman: Bergeron's Olympic spot safe

BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins and Team Canada both received good news Tuesday when it was learned star center Patrice Bergeron would only be out about two weeks with a broken right thumb.

There was fear Bergeron could be out as long as six weeks depending on the severity of the injury and the team held its breath as Bergeron went to see a hand specialist Tuesday afternoon. The verdict was positive, no surgery required.
